Position: Full Time Field Support Unit - Security Guard

Site: Various Locations (Richmond Hill/Vaughan Mills, Scarborough/Markham, Toronto/North York/East York)

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Vehicle requirement: You must own a personal vehicle with G2 or G licence and be able to clean shave for N‑95 mask fit test.

• Work assigned shifts at different sites in All Regions.
• Provide proactive and reactive security patrols in buildings and hospitals and respond to fire and emergency incidents.
• Display excellent customer service skills and work with people under stress or needing medical assistance.
• Provide Use of Force/Restraint as required and directed under the Mental Health Act.
• Provide security escort service to staff and visitors as requested.
• Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and/or visitors as required.
• Keep accurate logs, notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service, and write accurate reports upon investigations or reportable occurrences in a timely manner.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations; apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
• Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
• Assist in enforcement of company policies and procedures, monitor and report any suspicious activities.
• Report any incidents, accidents or security breaches promptly to the management team.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
• Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and authorities when necessary.

• Immunization record (Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and
  2).
• Valid Security Licence for the province of Ontario.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
• COVID-19 vaccine: two doses.
• Legally authorised to work in Canada.
• Willing to complete N95 mask fit clean‑shaven requirement.
• Must have a reliable vehicle.
• Proficient in English (both oral and written).
• Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employment.
• Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding. The training is paid by Paladin with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
