Our Senior Sales Manager is responsible for business development (rooms only groups as well as meetings/events with rooms) while maintaining + growing group accounts in-order to achieve guest satisfaction and generate revenues for the hotel. This individual must be a curious, kind and inclusive human, self-driven by exceeding financial goals, contributing to overall strategies and consistently be a leader within the hotel via working collaboratively with multiple departments.
WhatYou’ll Do Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Proactively source and contract new business (cold calls, site visits, networking, client entertainment)
- Achieve or exceed quarterly revenue goals (rooms & events)
- Respond to RFPs and proposals within 24 hours
- Negotiate rates in alignment with hotel policies
- Implement targeted sales strategies within assigned markets
- Develop quarterly action plans
- Build annual travel & prospecting calendars
- Prepare timely pre-trip and post-trip reports
- Maintain and grow group accounts
- Track leads, accounts & activities in sales/catering systems
- Maintain strong client communication before, during & after stays
- Partner closely with Catering, Revenue, Operations & Housekeeping
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights
- Support overall hotel profitability
- Participate in internal meetings and initiatives
- Minimum 2 years in a sales role within a comparable hotel, resort, restaurant, or entertainment venue
- Experience in events, banquets, or catering preferred
- Entertainment or group sales focus a plus
- Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office & Google )
