Morrison Financial Services Limited is a boutique financial services company and private asset manager founded in 1987. Since that time, we have grown organically through the development and delivery of specialized lending products. These lending programs include but are not limited to mortgage lending for residential development and construction projects across Ontario and lending to condominium corporations / stratas for capital repairs and reserve fund shortfalls.
To date, Morrison Financial has funded over $1.6B across its various programs and we expect continued growth across our business.
Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Associate located in Toronto, ON. The qualified candidate will work closely with management team to drive business development efforts across Morrison Financial's business lines.
The primary objective of this role is to identify, engage, and secure initial meetings with potential investors including but not limited to High-Net-Worth individuals, Family Offices, and Wealth Advisors. This is a high-impact position requiring a sophisticated communication style to communicate complex finance concepts while maintaining a high-volume outreach discipline. You must be comfortable acting as both a “concierge” for inbound marketing leads and a “hunter” for cold outreach.
Responsibilities
Develop strong understanding of Morrison Financial business and its investment vehicles, specifically the risk/return profile of our investment offerings.Execute a dual-track outreach strategy:
A) Rapidly triage and qualify leads generated from marketing campaigns (Meta/Google Ads), ensuring "speed-to-lead" response times of under 30 minutes.
B) Proactively hunt new prospective investors through cold calling, Linked In networking, and industry databases.Manage end-to-end outreach process to schedule introductory meetings for relevant team members. Qualify all prospects against, Accredited/ Eligible Investor guidelines to protect team member time.Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients, maintaining a professional and "high-touch" brand image consistent with the firm.Ensure all booked meetings are ‘pre-sold’ with prospects confirming interest prior to the call.Support marketing activities to generate interest, and assist in preparing marketing materials to be used for client prospecting.Represent the company at select events and conferences.Maintain meticulous records of all outreach and follow-ups, ensuring the lead pipeline is organized and actionable.Complete weekly reports and record lead generation and closing activities through the Morrison Financial CRM.Stay up-to-date with the competitive landscape and market updates.Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or equivalent business experience required.1-2 years of professional experience in sales / business development role.Previous experience in financial services, investment, or real estate is a plus.Excellent sales and networking skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong client service skills, ability to confidently interface with clients.Willing to meet with clients and/or attend events outside of standard working hours.Ambitious and willing to put in time to consistently improve and achieve results.High proficiency in Word, Outlook, any other relevant Office products, and CRM system.#J-18808-Ljbffr
