Job Description & How to Apply Below

What if you could personally impact the future of healthcare? As part of the Pocket Health team, you will enable hospitals and clinics across North America — and more importantly, empower over 2 million patients — to discover a better healthcare experience.

Pocket Health is a patient‑centric platform that enables hospitals and clinics across North America to share imaging records digitally with patients, instantly and securely. Through our platform, we enable patients to be active and engaged participants in their own care, and take control of their care journey. In addition to image sharing, which is the heart of the Pocket Health platform, we’ve grown our core functionality to enable sharing between hospitals and physicians, as well as instant image retrieval and automated importing capability.

Pocket Health is a unified image management solution for over 800 hospitals and clinics across North America. We believe that by placing patients at the center of the record release process, data moves more ethically, easily and securely throughout the care journey, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to help make this vision a reality for millions more patients across North America.

We are looking for a tenacious, driven, and articulate individual to join our Business Development team. Our Business Development Reps are self‑motivated, curious, go‑getters who love connecting with people. As the first point of contact for many prospective clients, BDRs build strong rapport, while understanding prospect needs, and positioning how Pocket Health can meet and exceed their expectations.

As a member of the broader Marketing team, and working in lockstep with the Sales team, the Business Development Rep is responsible for prospecting and lead follow up to generate opportunities and pipeline for our Enterprise Account Executives.

As a Business Development Rep, you will:
  • Reach out to prospective clients, via phone, email, and social touches, to nurture them towards a meeting with Sales
  • Prospect into organizations and potential clients that relate to strategic focus areas for the company
  • Support our Sales team before, during and after meetings are set to ensure the best hand‑off and overall experience for the prospective client
  • Experiment with different methods of outreach until you find the right mix that works best and can generate predictable results
  • Maintain a professional network; staying up to date with industry news, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional relationships
You have:
  • Experience in the health sciences space (either through education or your career)
  • Passion and aptitude for technology/software and an innate desire to always be looking for ‘what’s next’ to improve outcomes
  • Highly developed interpersonal and flawless written/spoken communication skills
  • Must be very comfortable communicating by phone or on Zoom
You might also have:
  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar role, with B2B enterprise SaaS experience preferred
  • Hands‑on experience working with Enterprise CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Experience with social selling and using sales tools (Linked In Sales Navigator), considered an asset
You are:
  • Competitive, confident and driven, with a healthy dose of humility
  • A creative problem solver who is adept at rolling up your sleeves and working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Creative - You should be inspired to constantly reassess our outreach strategy
  • Passionate about the product and the problem we’re solving. This isn’t just another SaaS solution. Every single hospital or imaging clinic you help adopt Pocket Health represents thousands of patients that experience better care, become engaged participants in their health journey and truly own their health data

You can do amazing things  can positively impact the healthcare journey for millions of people, while building your career and developing your skills. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. It has been a part of our mission since our founding to empower patients & make healthcare accessible to all, and we know this can only be achieved with a team of diverse perspectives that is representative of the Patient & Provider communities we serve.

People love working here for these reasons and more: working remotely, our competitive salaries and benefits (including stock options for every employee!), four weeks of paid time off, unlimited paid wellness days, extended mental health coverage, and 16 weeks of parental leave top‑up.

We’re proud to foster a culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we believe in caring for our employees with the same thoughtfulness we offer our Patients & Providers.

If there are ways we can support you through the recruitment process with an accommodation, please let us know by reaching out to DEIlth. Applications are accepted via posting only.
