We are currently looking for a Group Sales Agent supporting our West Jet Vacations brand to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As a Group Sales Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for travel agents, delivering exceptional service and building customer loyalty.
You’ll be responsible for generating new sales by accurately quoting group travel packages, offering product recommendations, and sharing promotional information—all within set deadlines. The position reports to the Director, Group Sales, and will be located in Toronto, ON.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls on the Groups Queue line.
- Identify customer needs, offer solutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist with product/service inquiries and manage booking system updates.
- Meet call performance KPIs (e.g., call volume, hold time, handling time).
- Accurately cost and issue group quotes using provided tools and guidelines.
- Return quotes within 24–48 hours and request additional info as needed.
- Prioritize quotes to improve conversion rates and maintain KPI targets.
- Refer custom excursion requests to the Sunwing Experiences team.
- Attend all assigned training sessions and complete Smarter U courses.
- Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, policies, and procedures.
- Organize and maintain quick-reference materials for efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in telephone sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Post-secondary travel-related education is an asset.
- Excellent administration skills and PC skills (MS Office, Excel, PPT, etc.).
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities and enjoys working directly with customers.
- TICO Certification required.
- Experience with TTS and Sabre is an asset.
- Strong organization, multitasking ability, and the capacity to work well under pressure while maintaining professional communications in all settings.
