Thread count Textile & Design is a boutique textile and design company serving high‑end residential and hospitality interior designers. We supply sustainable luxury textiles paired with a highly personal client experience — all delivered with a creative edge.

We are currently seeking a Trade Sales, Showroom & Brand Specialist to support the growth of our designer account base and strengthen Thread count’s presence in Toronto’s design community.

The Role

This position will serve as the face of our Toronto showroom and a key driver of designer account growth. It blends inside/outside sales, showroom leadership, elevated client experience, and brand growth execution, ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship‑driven, design‑forward business.

Responsibilities
  • Own and convert digital and showroom‑based sales opportunities through proactive outreach, and consistent follow‑through using
  • Respond to designer inquiries, sample requests, and showroom visits with warmth, speed, and deep product knowledge
  • Vet inbound leads and digital sales opportunities, ensuring fast response times and thoughtful follow‑up
  • Guide designers through product selection and sampling with tailored recommendations aligned to their project needs, aesthetic, and budget
  • Maintain clear pipeline visibility by logging sales activity, customer notes, and follow‑ups in Salesforce
  • Be a quarterback support in showroom for outside sales by coordinating follow‑ups, sourcing, sampling, and key account requests
  • Support outside sales through road visits, representing Thread count in designer presentations, product previews, and key relationship‑building meetings
  • Actively represent Thread count at industry events including trade shows, design showcases, and networking opportunities
Showroom Leadership + Management
  • Act as the day‑to‑day lead of the Toronto showroom, ensuring it is consistently elevated, organized, and client‑ready
  • Deliver a refined, attentive showroom experience that reflects the standards of the Thread count brand
  • Oversee showroom presentation and merchandising: seasonal refreshes, vignettes, display updates, and product storytelling moments working collaboratively with creative team
  • Manage showroom systems including sample organization, memo flow, display upkeep, and showroom materials
  • Maintain showroom scheduling, readiness standards, and day‑to‑day rhythm to ensure a seamless designer experience
  • Ensure the showroom functions as a sales‑driving environment by maintaining visual excellence, product clarity, and hospitality‑level service
  • Support showroom events and activations, ensuring the space is prepared, the experience is seamless, and follow‑up is executed
Brand + Trade Growth Support
  • Partner with marketing and content teams to support trade‑growth and brand‑building initiatives company‑wide
  • Contribute to planning and execution of campaigns, product launches, seasonal storytelling, and showroom moments
  • Support the development and execution of the new‑business customer journey — converting new designer leads from first inquiry to first order, and nurturing them into repeat buyers
  • Assist with trade community outreach including events, partnerships, designer mailers, and creative brand touchpoints
  • Track and report on key outreach initiatives (what was executed, who engaged, what converted) to help refine and improve results over time
  • Proven experience in luxury sales to the trade, focusing on the hospitality and high‑end design sectors
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset — you take initiative, spot opportunities, and don’t wait to be told what to do
  • Thrive in a showroom environment and take pride in maintaining a space that feels elevated, inspiring, and sales‑driving
  • Are confident in relationship‑based sales and enjoy follow‑up, momentum, and converting opportunities
  • Have a sharp eye for color, texture, styling, and luxury presentation
