The Opportunity: A.K.A. New Media Inc. (A.K.A.) is seeking a Junior Business Development Associate to help introduce and sell the raisin solution to prospective clients, joining its raisin team. If you have a passion for sales, love building relationships, have a go-getter personality, and want to be part of a dynamic, fast-emerging company, read on and apply!
The Role:
- Build and maintain a healthy base of leads and contacts through research and leveraging networks.
- Reach out to senior decision-makers in the fundraising/charity community, conveying a convincing value proposition.
- Use multi-channel outreach including email, social media, ads, and cold calling.
- Collaborate with the sales team throughout the sales cycle to optimize closings.
- Record sales activities in Hubspot CRM and maintain CRM data analysis.
- Provide weekly reports on prospects and leads.
- Support senior sales team members in analyzing market potential and prospective customer value.
- Conduct qualification demonstrations remotely and in person.
- Respond to RFPs and participate in industry conferences (2-3 per year).
- Support marketing initiatives to generate leads.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for cold-calling, networking, and establishing relationships
- 2+ years of sales and business development experience
- Experience selling SaaS software
- CRM knowledge, especially Hubspot
- Proficiency with digital technologies, social media, and web-based software
- Self-motivated, quick learner
- Post-secondary degree or diploma (marketing, communications, business, technology, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Passion for charities and fundraising
- Values of honesty, integrity, professionalism, and customer service
- Proven sales success and result orientation
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Reliable, persistent, personable, and eager to learn
