The store development department executes where, what, and how to open stores in each country, driving expansion and ensuring stores reflect local culture and UNIQLO’s philosophy of simplicity, quality, and innovation.
As a Store Development Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end development of new stores and renovations— from site selection to grand opening—directly fueling growth and bringing Life Wear closer to Canadians nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Plan store development strategy for new direct‑operated stores and related activities.
- Secure new properties, negotiate delivery and economic conditions, and manage contracts and scheduling until opening.
- Manage contracts for existing stores and build relationships with landlords, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide business reports, consultations, and coordination to the internal brand management company.
- Collaborate with global teams to align Canadian stores with UNIQLO’s brand standards.
- Implement scalable processes to accelerate store openings across Canada.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5+ years of Retail Store development, construction, or project management work experience.
- Commercial real‑estate work experience is an asset.
- Real‑estate related legal knowledge (contract knowledge mandatory).
- Leasing experience at shopping centres, fashion buildings, etc.
- Business‑management planning skills.
- Sales estimation and P&L setting creation knowledge.
- Fashion, retail, or real‑estate industry knowledge.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to build trust with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments and navigate ambiguity.
- Basic PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Willingness to travel to different store locations across Canada.
- Real‑estate professional qualification is a plus.

Annual Salary: $112,000 CAD.
The annual salary is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
