As a leading clothing retailer of finer menswear based in Toronto and operating in major centres across Canada, an exciting and challenging opportunity exists as a Buyer, Footwear and Accessories.
You will be part of a highly talented group of individuals that ensure we are a menswear fashion leader within our industry. We are seeking a skilled Buyerand career minded professional to be responsible for the following:
We are seeking a professional to join our Buying Department and be accountable for the following responsibilities:
Source and evaluate vendors for private label developmentPrepare sell thru report to bring/send to vendor appointmentSource product for outlet locations and mainline margin OP buys as neededMarket research and retail landscape awareness including positive/negative business trends to manage riskReview and adjust basic inventory assortmentConduct seasonal review and execution of RTVs from RTV warehouseProvide input to planning team to finalize markdownsSource potential online only merchandiseSupport Trunk Show/In Store EventRequest samples from vendors & digital assetsConduct online expert reviews of product to boost profilePrepare Seasonal Merchandise Pitch Deck and ongoing product knowledge to SHRegular Store Visits with set agendaThe successful candidate will have the following background/experience:
University Degree or College Diploma in Merchandising or a related discipline or buying experience preferredKnowledge in footwear, an assetAn exceptional orientation to detailStrong customer service orientationInnovative thinker, and problem solverStrong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent relationship building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA strong sense of urgency with the proven ability to set and meet deadlinesExceptional computer skills,
