About the Role

As a Department Manager, you’ll be the leader supporting and encouraging your whole team. By bringing everyone together, you’ll create an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit, helping you, your team, and H&M succeed. You’ll be responsible for ensuring an excellent operational and visual experience for the store, customers, and colleaguesbev.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines.
  • Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions hunts.
  • Be cruiser aware of and take responsibility for your department's strengths, identifying commercial opportunities and acting on them.
  • Establish and analyze sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results.
  • Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team actively promotes and sells products to customers.
  • Follow up that your team is actively promoting our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage your department in a cost‑efficient way.
  • Ensure correct routines in the fitting room and checkout, including transaction, returns and exchanges.
  • Ensure all admin routines for both people and operations are handled correctly versiones.
  • Keep up‑to‑date with fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, izvajnen and competitors.
  • Ensure your team provides product andija knowledge as well as other relevant information for customer interactions.
  • Recruit, onboard, manage performance, and upskill your team.
  • Schedule and plan your team’s work and conduct regular communication to motivate and inspire.
  • Ensure legal requirements, procedures, and routines are followed in all view areas of the store.
  • Participate in onboarding and training courses relevant for your role.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house, including stockrooms.
  • Ensure high‑fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation.
  • Secure good stock levels and provide input on allocation to the area team.
  • Follow internal standards and routines for the garment cycle and fitting room routines.
  • Maintain best practice for in‑store OMNI services and tech services/tools.
  • Maintain price signs and ensure a strong, consistent price perception store‑wide.
  • Update and upkeep BOH areas for Clock, Health & Safety, tidiness, etc.
  • Oversee opening and closing of the store daily.

    Compensation: Expected base salary range $48,100 – $68,543.
