The Role
-Finance and Operations Coordinator
  • Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.

  • Work Type: Full-time, in-person role located at our Toronto headquarters.
  • Start Date: ASAP – the position is currently open and ready to be filled.
  • On-site training for this position.
Responsibilities and duties:
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records across all entities.
    Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and cash-flow analyses.
  • Monitor budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
  • Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and cost drivers to support leadership decisions.
  • Contribute to scenario planning and provide management dashboards.
Payroll, Benefits & Compliance
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately, ensuring all deductions and remittances are on time.
  • Manage benefits, employee reimbursements, and year-end reporting (T4s, ROEs).
  • Stay current with employment and tax regulations to ensure compliance.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight
  • Manage AP/AR processes and ensure timely collections and payments.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts, credit cards, and online payment systems.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to support operational reliability.
Operational & Administrative Coordination
  • Support leadership with purchasing, vendor management, and contract renewals.
  • Coordinate shared systems such as insurance, leases, and technology subscriptions.
  • Align financial data with project and operational outcomes.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Support
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
  • Support implementation of new financial systems, dashboards, or reporting tools.
  • Provide insights that connect financial outcomes with business strategy.
The Candidate Must-haves
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience, including payroll and reconciliations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Quick Books and Excel; experience with financial reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian accounting principles, tax, and employment compliance.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
