Overview
Supervisor Retail Food Services at Aramark Canada supervises daily food service operations, including opening and closing the store, staff coordination, customer service, and compliance with food safety and company standards.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the retail food service location
- Open and close the store, including cash counts, safe procedures, and security checks
- Schedule, assign, and monitor staff duties and shift coverage
- Train new employees on food preparation, customer service, and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Monitor product quality, portion control, and presentation standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service recovery professionally
- Manage cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-day reconciliation
- Maintain inventory levels, place supply orders, and receive deliveries
- Ensure cleanliness of food prep, service, and dining areas
- Enforce company policies and workplace safety standards
- Assist with performance feedback and basic employee evaluations
- Support sales goals through efficient service and team leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary training in hospitality or food services an asset)
- Previous experience in retail food service or quick-service restaurant environment
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Experience with scheduling, inventory control, and ordering supplies
- Ability to ensure quality customer service and resolve customer concerns
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
