Senior Research Analyst
Overview
RBC is recruiting for an exciting Senior Research Analyst role in which you will have the opportunity to increase shareholder value through an understanding of the needs of consumers, clients, communities and RBC’s performance. Using cost effective research methodologies you will research studies for RBC ensuring that the business units are provided with timely, actionable, high quality client insights to support their decision making process.
In this role you will interpret and integrate client and market research findings to support revenue growth.
- Support the CXDI (Client Experience and Design Insights) research team as we consult with business units to understand their business needs, translate their business needs into primary market research, conduct market research studies and deliver actionable insights and reports.
- Assist in project management from research initiation through field work to reporting.
- Manage aspects of the research process such as designing and programming surveys, testing survey links, coordinating sample, translation and creating and analyzing data outputs.
- Adopt cost-effective ways of addressing the research needs both through in-house research tools and working with external research partners.
- Create engaging reports and presentations to communicate actionable insights to the organization.
- Create engaging reports in PowerPoint and by using dashboards, creating and reading data tables.
- Conduct secondary research on specific topics to support implications.
- 3 years of experience in marketing research with experience on the supplier/vendor side with involvement in multiple studies concurrently
- Knowledge on a wide range of research techniques covering quantitative areas
- Demonstrated collaborative skills in a cross-functional and information sharing environment and strong project management skills
- Ability to translate complex research data into precise and simple information for business partners
- Practical experience with research analysis using cross tabs to create research reporting
- Experience with SPSS or equivalent software to create data tables, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with proven project management skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly pivot
- Experience in financial services research is an asset but not required
- Experience working with Qualtrics, Upsiide, User Testing or other research software
- Degree in a finance/ business related field or social science background
