Job Description
The Quality Inspector, TBM, will support quality control and assurance activities on the Ontario Line South Project. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting construction work and materials, verifying compliance with project requirements, and ensuring that Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are accurately executed and documented. You will work closely with the Quality team, construction partners, and third‑party testing agencies to uphold the highest standards of quality across all project disciplines.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 CAD to $100,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.
- Quality Verification:
Verify that site work complies with Issued for Construction drawings, shop drawings, Work Method Statements, the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP), and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). - Ensure all ITP line items are signed off in real time and supported by complete documentation.
- Documentation & Records Management:
Complete and close ITPs upon finishing all related activities. Coordinate with Document Control to upload and maintain accurate quality records. - Non-Conformance Management:
Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for materials or work not meeting project standards. Coordinate corrective actions and follow-up to ensure NCRs are resolved within required timelines. - Material Inspection & Testing:
Inspect delivered materials to confirm compliance with project specifications. Coordinate required testing with certified third‑party agencies. - Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Monitor work progress against the project schedule and report potential delays to the Construction Quality Control Manager. Participate in project meetings and support internal, joint‑venture, and client reporting related to quality.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector; experience on transit or major infrastructure projects in Ontario is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with OPSS, CSA, ACI standards, TTC and Metrolinx specifications, and the Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual.
- Experience managing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and non‑conformance processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with document management platforms such as SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM
360, Project Wise, or Procore is an asset. - Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced project environment.
