Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager, Quality Program is responsible for the development and implementation of quality management systems based on ISO 9001 compliance and procedures as it pertains to design and build standards and procedures for all aspects of outside plant construction and drop placement activities.
What You'll Do Here- Report Quality Management System (QMS) performance and ISO 9001 audit compliance to senior leadership and promote QMS awareness across the organization
- Ensure QMS processes are established, implemented and maintained in compliance with applicable standards, codes and regulatory requirements
- Ensure full compliance with the contractual terms between the client and Aecon as well as Aecon’s Quality Control (QC) policies and QC Plan requirements
- Manage a team of Quality Managers working on remote project sites
- Ensure all Program Management supervisory staff, subcontractors and suppliers understand QC Plan requirements, expected quality standards and acceptance criteria
- Verify that teams are appropriately trained and equipped with the necessary tools, resources and qualified personnel to meet or exceed quality expectations
- Establish quality assurance (QA) compliance objectives and monitor performance against defined targets
- Identify quality-related training needs and deliver or coordinate training as required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement and align comprehensive quality procedures
- Liaise with customer auditors, support audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions in line with customer specifications
- Participate in the bid process by providing quality management inputs, reviewing tender quality requirements, and ensuring proposed quality plans align with QMS and ISO 9001 standards
- Establish and maintain customer service quality standards
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality excellence and performance enhancement across the organization
- Around 5-7 years of experience in high-voltage electrical systems or a related technical field is considered an asset
- PMP certification or a recognized Project Management degree/certification
- Quality certifications such as CQA, CQIA and ISO 9001 auditor certification considered an asset
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and provide effective leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
Salary:
The expected salary for this position is $110,000 - $150,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
