About the Role:

We are seeking a Freelance Automotive Technical Inspector to conduct an on-site inspection of an armored Toyota vehicle located in Toronto. The inspection will verify compliance with specifications, armor protection level B6 European CEN 1063 standard, and overall vehicle quality, compliance, and other requirements.

Responsibilities:

• The Freelance Automotive Technical Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections on armored vehicles to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.
• Perform physical inspection of an armored vehicle.
• Use their own report or method normally use for technical inspections (their own reports aligned to client specs).
• Verify armor components, ballistic glass, steel panels, welding, fit, and seals.
• Confirm alignment with the provided inspection checklist.
• Review draft ballistic documentation and report findings.
• Complete written inspection report with photos.

Qualifications:

• Prior technical vehicle inspection training/experience.
• Automotive Technician, Automotive Technical Inspector, or equivalent professional background.
• Experience conducting commercial, industrial, or fleet vehicle inspections.
• Experience inspecting modified, reinforced, armored, security, military, or special-purpose vehicles.

Required Skills:

• Experience with commercial, fleet, modified, or special-purpose vehicle/ car inspections.
• Experience with their own report/method for technical vehicle inspection.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, methods, and documentation.
• Ability to follow inspection criteria and complete detailed written reports.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience inspecting armored vehicles.
• Familiarity with ballistic standards such as CEN.
• Experience working with manufacturer-provided inspection checklists.
