Compensation:

  • $20–$22/hour, based on your knowledge and skill set
  • Overnight Premium: $2/hour (7pm-7am)
  • Weekend Premium: $2/hour (7am-7pm)

  • Potentially 10 or 12 hour shifts, overnights, weekend, occasional day shift.
  • What You’ll Do:
    As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency & Critical Care teams in delivering high-level care. You’ll be an essential part of our patient care flow — whether you're preparing an ER tray, comforting a hospitalized patient, or keeping our clinic running smoothly.

    Your day-to-day may include:
  • Assisting with diagnostics and procedures like Fine Needle Aspirates, Tru-Cut Biopsies, and surgical anesthetic setups
  • Providing compassionate restraint and ensuring safety for patients and team members
  • Keeping patients comfortable with clean bedding and gentle handling
  • Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and maintaining aseptic technique
  • Supporting surgery teams on procedures such as fracture repairs and mass removals
  • Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
  • What We’re Looking For:
  • A high school diploma (Post-Secondary Animal Care Program preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in animal care (clinic, shelter, wildlife center, etc.)
  • A calm, confident presence with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Someone who can multitask under pressure and provide excellent client care
