Dog Care Professionals

Permanent positions available - multiple shifts available (some weekend and holiday availability as needed). Previous professional experience in pet care or related field is required.

Work Location:

Downtown Toronto, In person

Supervising and engaging groups of off leash dogs, cleaning up after dogs, managing dog play and observing health and behaviour, documentation, cleaning - help in other departments as needed.

Preparing and feeding individual meals for all dogs in the facility, Preparing and administering medications, disinfection and cleaning, taking weights, assisting in daycare and with individual services, documentation.

We are looking for candidates with:

A passion, empathy and understanding towards dogs;

A comfort level in a large group of off leash dogs;

Extremely comfortable with animals of all breeds and sizes;

Ability to stand for long periods of time, bending and ability to handle some heavy lifting when necessary;

A team player with a get it done attitude;

Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners;

A strong observation skills and attention to detail;

Free of any dog, dust, dander or peanut allergies;

Fear Free certification or willingness to take it;

Job Type: Permanent, part-time or full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour, plus tips

Expected hours: we run with shifts. You can take as many shifts as you want, including daytime, overnight, weekends or holidays.

Experience:

Professional animal care: 1 year (required)

Non-licensed Veterinarian (foreign-trained) or RVT a major plus.
