Hello there! I’m Tracy Chamberlin, the new Patient Care Manager eph's Health Centre Emergency Department (ED). I’m excited to invite you to join our dynamic team as we build a strong foundation for exceptional patient care.

St. Joseph's Health Centre is one of the largest community ED hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area, nestled in a vibrant and diverse neighborhood near Lake Ontario and High Park. Our facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community, and we are proud to be a Catholic teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto.

Our ED is expanding, and I’m thrilled to announce the opening of our new geriatric zone, alongside our specialized pediatric zone. This unique environment allows us to deliver a wide range of nursing care tailored to different age groups and conditions, enhancing our ability to serve both older adults and kids.

As an ED nurse myself, I understand the challenges and rewards of emergency nursing. I believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration, and I’m committed to fostering an environment where every team member can thrive.

In this role, the RN works within a changing environment and in inter‑professional teams to advocate for and promote wellness while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and ethical nursing care. The RN shares their knowledge and expertise with others and contributes to the advancement of nursing practice excellence. The RN continually enhances their practice and competencies through ongoing learning, education, experience and reflective practice.

• Serves as the primary resource for organizing and coordinating patient care activities

• Coordinates and communicates patient care activities for a safe and seamless transition and appropriate transfer of accountability
