The Peter Munk Cardiac Centre program provides world‑class cardiovascular care. One of the largest programs of its kind in North America, we are a major referral centre. Our program offers resources and expertise prepared to deal with even the most complex patient cases.
Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians and other allied health professionals with special training in cardiac and vascular conditions and their treatment. Each year, our innovative surgery techniques and outstanding cardiology interventions attract hundreds of visiting professors and trainees from around the globe.
The EP clinical coordinator is responsible for triaging, scheduling, arranging travel logistics and preparing patients for EP procedures. Patient preparation involves in‑person visits to assess patients and administer medications as prescribed by the EP physician team. The EP coordinator liaises with members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure applicable diagnostic tests and assessments are completed prior to patient procedures. They ensure the appropriate level of care is in place for patients post‑procedure and that follow‑up by the inpatient EP team meets the patients needs post‑procedure.
The EP coordinator monitors procedure wait lists and considers strategies to ensure EP procedures are conducted within established timelines. They work closely with leadership to ensure EP program objectives are met.
