East Toronto, ON

Shifts:

Mornings 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We are looking for a Shift Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next Shift Nurse will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive the success of their role. If your passion is rooted in all things client-focused and you have a strong urge to provide care to a variety of patients in the community with extensive wound care experience, this would be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities
  • Provide care for client needs with extensive experience in wound care management.
  • Experience with IV antibiotic administration, IV cannulation, chemo disconnects, CVAD care, and PORT-A-CATH care/access would be an asset.
  • Report and coordinate with the HCCSS (LHIN).
  • Support school students as needed.
  • Work within the community and travel between clients.
  • Create reports and updates on clients.
  • Order supplies for patients.
  • Build relationships and rapport with clients.
  • Work as a self-starter with minimal supervision; able to work in a team or independently as needed.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and provide high-quality customer service.
  • Maintain safety for yourself and clients with a focus on safe practice.
Skills Needed For Success
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong schedule management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Minimum of two years’ community or clinical/hospital experience preferred.
  • Currently certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the CNO.
  • Certified with Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level

    C).
  • Mask Fit test current (if applicable).
  • Able to commit to weekends and on-call.
