Temporary part‑time. Duration:
June 2026.
Hours:
8–12 hour shifts, day/evening, 7 days per week.
Location:
Humber River Health, Church site. Reporting relationship:
Manager, Hemodialysis (Church). Hourly Rate: $40.24–$57.68. Union Group: ONA.
- All aspects of care for patients receiving hemodialysis with a primary nursing focus.
- Providing education and follow‑up to all hemodialysis patients.
- Providing primary care to assigned patients, including developing, updating, and communicating the plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BCLS certification upon hire.
- BScN preferred.
- Minimum one year acute care experience required.
- Nephrology or hemodialysis experience is an asset.
- Nephrology certificate courses completed or commitment to complete within an agreed period of time.
- Patient assessment course and demonstrated strong assessment skills.
- Experience in peritoneal dialysis is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams, patients and families.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a reasonable time frame.
- Demonstrated sound judgement, observation, empathy/preceptorship ability.
- Physically capable of performing essential duties.
- Commitment to Humber’s safety programs.
- Flexible, able to work in a busy environment.
- Basic computer skills;
Meditech experience is an asset. - On‑call duties as assigned.
- Excellent attendance and discipline‑free record.
- Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
