Registered Nurse – Alternative Level of Care (Finch Reactivation Care Centre)
Humber River Health, a fully digital hospital serving 850,000 residents of North West Toronto, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to work in our newly designated Alternative Level of Care (ALC) facility at the Finch Reactivation Care Centre.
Hourly Rate: $40.24 – $57.68 per hour
Schedule: 8‑ and 12‑hour rotating shifts (days, nights, evenings, weekends)
Employment Status: Part‑time
Location: Reactivation Care Centre – Finch site (subject to change)
Employee Group: ONA
Reporting To: Manager, Finch Reactivation Care Centre
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care as an RN in the ALC setting.
- Develop and coordinate care plans with interdisciplinary team members.
- Document patient care in computerized systems.
- Participate in project teams or hospital committees as required.
- Serve as resource/team leader, mentoring new hires and pre‑graduate nursing students.
Qualifications:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or demonstrated competency.
- At least 2 years of recent acute medicine and seniors’ care experience.
- Strong critical‑thinking, prioritization, and physical assessment skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, evidence‑based decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Proven experience promoting family‑centered care and patient/family teaching.
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, patients, family members, and visitors.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Excellent attendance and a discipline‑free record.
- Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices (asset).
