Chai Lifeline Canada is searching for students and graduates from Nursing faculties and programs to join our summer camp. Camp Lifeline is a camp run by Chai Lifeline Canada that welcomes and supports children dealing with various medical complexities.

Camp Lifeline aims to create a safe and fun environment for all campers, while providing an incredible opportunity to create great memories with children who are dealing with medical complexities.

Responsibilities
  • Review medical forms of campers to provide tailored health
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date documentation that follows CNO standards for all care provided and contact parents and/or guardians of campers as follow-up where necessary
  • Administer medication to campers when needed
  • Respond to all first-aid and emergency medical situations
  • Ensuring a sanitary environment by wiping down toy, tables and cleaning frequently
  • Be a part of the overall camp experience and participate in activities
Qualifications
  • RN, RPN with the CNO or eligibility to apply for a Temporary Class Licence OR currently enrolled in 3rd/4th year of a nursing program (applicants who fit this description will be working under the guidance of a RN)
  • Standard First-Aid & CPR/AED or BLS (HCP) Certification
  • Clinical experience is an asset (1+ year)
  • Experience working in a health care setting with children and youth is an asset
