An Unprecedented Campaign with Unprecedented Success
Branksome Hall is building on an extraordinary period of achievement. We are in the final stretch of one of the most successful fundraising campaigns ever undertaken by an all-girls school in Toronto—an ambitious, historic effort that has already secured the largest gifts in our 120-year history and, to date, has raised $41 million to date, exceeding our original goal by 36%.
As this campaign comes to a close, it positions Branksome for continued success, strengthening our momentum as we look ahead to future campaigns and continue to advance the school’s most important priorities.
We are looking for an Associate Director, Campaign and Development Operations who will be a key member of a collaborative, mutually supportive and high-performing team to build on our success and help cement Branksome’s position as an exceptional, accessible and innovative leader in girls’ education.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced leader to play a key role in developing strategy and overseeing its execution—supporting the successful completion of the Make Way campaign while also helping to shape and build Branksome Hall’s next campaign, and advancing the continued growth and development of Branksome Hall’s Advancement program.
Reporting to the Director, Campaign and Development, the Associate Director will play a pivotal role in strengthening and growing every aspect of fundraising by leading the team that supports prospect-facing fundraisers. With oversight of key areas including stewardship, communications, prospect research, and database management, this role ensures the systems, strategy, and support are in place to successfully secure gifts and steward them with care.
Working closely with the Director, the Associate Director will help develop and implement the overall fundraising strategy and execute both strategic and tactical plans that support giving at all levels—from annual fund through to transformational gifts.
The successful candidate will also lead, oversee and work alongside four direct reports with:
Developing strategy and providing oversight to the execution of programs to steward gifts at all levels;
The creation of messaging and materials in support of Major and Annual Giving, fundraising events and donor stewardship initiatives;
Data integrity and records management, gift processing, reporting, analytic tool development and implementation, and database and web integration.
The prospecting and pipeline process and identifying prospects in support of the Campaign.
Some evening and weekend work, and event attendance to support the goals of the campaign will be required.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement the overall strategy, including detailed business plans and KPI’s for the fundraising team
Manage direct reports for database, stewardship, campaign communications and prospect research to keep tasks within timelines, and providing direction and guidance to advance fundraising priorities
Execution of the comprehensive Donor Experience Program business plan and calendaring timelines across Major Gifts, Annual Giving and Planned Giving
Development and deployment of all impact reports, and provide strategic input to Donor & Giving Report ensuring accuracy of donor lists
