We’re looking for a creative and energetic communications professional to join our team and help tell the Tim Hortons story in bold, innovative, and meaningful ways. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging communications professional to make an impact for one of Canada’s most beloved and iconic brands.

The ideal candidate will have experience and a passion for communications planning, landing media coverage through traditional PR campaigns, and creating viral content through earned influencer activations.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Core responsibilities
  • Lead media monitoring and analysis of coverage trends, media lists and outreach strategies to drive more traditional media stories and build relationships with journalists across the country.
  • Help draft press materials including media releases, backgrounders, Q&As, statements and Newsroom content.
  • Support the ideation, planning and execution of earned influencer events and campaigns in Toronto and across Canada. Assist with influencer research, vetting, outreach, and relationship management. Monitor influencer coverage and track performance metrics.
  • Support internal communications events and announcements.
Education and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, or diploma in public relations
  • 3+ years of experience in public relations (agency or in-house)
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor tone for different audiences
  • A pulse on Canadian news media and social media trends
  • Experience with media monitoring tools, photo and video editing tools, and AI tools
  • A curiosity for how to leverage AI in creative ways

Base salary range of $90,000– $105,000 CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics.
