We’re looking for a creative and highly hands-on Social Media & Marketing Specialist to support marketing efforts across Oliver & Bonacini’s Events & Catering portfolio. This role is execution-focused and collaborative, supporting campaign rollouts, social media management, content creation, and on-site event coverage.
Working closely with the broader Marketing team and Events & Catering stakeholders, this role supports campaign execution through thoughtful content, timely digital updates, and consistent storytelling across platforms. This is an ideal opportunity for a developing marketer with strong social media and content instincts who enjoys being on the ground at events and contributing to a wide range of marketing initiatives.
This full-time position is based in our downtown Toronto office and requires regular on-site presence at venues, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
Marketing & Social Media
Manage day-to-day publishing and upkeep of Events & Catering social media channels, including scheduling posts, community management, and performance trackingCreate and publish social content across Events & Catering channels, including corporate and event venue-specific accountsSupport the execution of marketing campaigns for Events & Catering, including seasonal promotions, venue spotlights, menu rollouts, and new venue launchesAssist with maintaining marketing calendars and coordinating timelines with the Marketing and Event Sales teamsUpdate and maintain venue web pages and promotional content across O&B websitesAssist with maintaining and updating internal websites and external listings (e.g., Eventsource, Unique Venues) to ensure accuracy and consistencyAssist with coordinating marketing materials and supporting logistics across Events & Catering initiatives.Content Creation & Event Coverage
Capture social-first photo and video content on-site at Events & Catering events and activationsAssist with content coverage for premium events, ongoing programming, seasonal menu launches etc.Work with Event Specialists and the Marketing team to identify content opportunities and prioritiesEdit and adapt short-form content for social platforms, ensuring assets align with brand and platform standardsWrite and adapt copy for social media, websites, digital listings, and marketing materialsHelp organize, tag, and maintain a shared library of event, venue, and catering imagery and videoSupport professional photo and video shoots by assisting with shot lists, on-site coordination, and asset managementMarket Research & Reporting
Assist with tracking social media and campaign performance metricsSupport post-campaign reporting and recap documentationConduct light consumer and competitor research within the events and catering spaceStay informed on social media, event, and hospitality trends and flag relevant insights to the teamQualifications
2–4 years of experience in marketing, social media, communications, or digital content creationHands-on experience creating, editing, and publishing content for social media platformsComfortable capturing photo and video content in live event environmentsStrong writing skills with attention to brand voice and detailHighly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and timelinesComfortable working evenings and weekends as required for eventsExperience with Word Press or CMS platforms is an assetBasic photo or video editing skills (mobile or desktop) are a plusCollaborative, proactive, and eager to learn within a fast-paced teamDegree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferredLegally eligible to work in CanadaPlease include a link to your portfolio or examples of relevant social media, photo, video, and/or written content with your application.
