Manager, External Communications – Canada

The Manager, External Communications – Canada supports external and editorial functions of communications for the REMAX Canada network. This position reports to the Director of External Communications and is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, writing, editing, execution and delivery of a range of projects being communicated to the Canadian media and external audiences throughout the country.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead on all REMAX Canada public relations efforts, including national, regional and trade coverage, via press releases, media appearances, podcast recordings, award submissions, thought leadership, brand journalism and more
  • Collaborate closely with REMAX Canada leadership and Director of External Communications to develop and execute external communications that create meaningful storytelling, drive share of voice and exceed KPIs
  • Serve as an advisor to the President of REMAX Canada while anticipating PR needs, messaging and direction regarding company messaging, industry news and key events
  • Ensure alignment of Company messaging and manage project schedules through the creation and implementation of communications plans
  • Help ensure message consistency and brand integrity across all communications to enhance and protect the REMAX brand in Canada
  • Write, script and prepare executive communications for a variety of media and on‑stage and written opportunities
  • Serve as primary liaison with media agency to ensure cohesive strategy, workflows and messaging
Qualifications
  • Degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent
  • Must submit 2-3 writing samples
  • 5+ years in public relations, government affairs or related field
  • Experience working in the real estate industry is a plus
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of current media landscape
  • Proven track record of working effectively in fast‑paced environment
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Availability to work in‑person at least two days a week and additional days as needed
Salary Range

$85,631.00 to $

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
