Summary

Bell Media’s Strategic Insights team is looking for a forward-thinking individual that is able to apply their analytical & creative skills to enhance our unique digital & traditional assets. This person must demonstrate a great ability to transform diverse information & data into impactful insights for our Bell Media stakeholders. The selected candidate must also have strong writing & presentation skills.

Utilize an array of data sources and tools to grow understanding of trends in media consumption; identify opportunities and make recommendations that drive revenue and monetization of our media assets.

Key Responsibilities

Support the National Sales (mainly for English Canada), Brand Partnership and Marketing teams by:

  • Leveraging data to develop stand-out advertising sales arguments to generate revenue and create compelling stories to make Bell Media’s properties stand out in the market.
  • Be involved in every step of the Sales Cycle, from prospecting clients to pitching to post-campaign evaluation.
  • Create and update sales material periodically to provide relevant and fresh data to your internal stakeholders.
  • Leveraging a variety of tools & databases, to grow understanding of trends in media consumption and monetization
  • Managing some self-serve tools that requires advanced abilities in Excel.
  • Presenting and participating in Sales meeting regularly to keep a close relationship with your stakeholders as well as acting as a counsellor to them.
Critical Qualifications Education & Experience
  • University degree in marketing, business administration or related field
  • Experience in media/marketing research and/or media sales
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret data across a vast array of data sources and methodologies. Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, formulas & macros) & PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and visual presentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers and internal stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of industry-standard media measurement & data visualization tools such as Numeris (Instar), com Score, mparticle, Strategy.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (French knowledge would be an asset)
Attitude
  • Passionate about the Canadian media landscape, from Video to Audio
  • Curious and creative, with a sense of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Organized with the ability to identify priorities and multi-task seamlessly

    Demonstrates a positive attitude, even under pressure

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
