Position Overview / Why Gain Share

This is an opportunity to do meaningful work with major brands—without the bureaucracy of larger agencies. As a Sr Account Manager based out of our Toronto office, you'll lead strategic client relationships across the full media ecosystem, from brand-building to performance, TV to digital. With real ownership, proprietary technology, and an integrated approach, you'll drive business outcomes—not just media metrics.

Key Responsibilities Client Leadership & Strategy
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner for a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Be the voice of our clients and our integrated Gain Share Performance Teams.
  • Lead the understanding, recommendations and delivery of our clients’ marketing need programs and delivery.
  • Develop and present comprehensive performance marketing strategies aligned with client business goals.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews, presenting insights, performance analysis, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion across channels and services.
  • Build and maintain strong senior marketing stakeholder relationships.
Campaign Oversight & Performance
  • Oversee integrated and individual channel marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels including linear TV, Connected TV, paid social, programmatic, and paid search.
  • Ongoing owner of individual client budgets and profitability of the accounts.
  • Develop integrated media strategies that leverage both digital and TV to maximize reach and conversion.
  • Oversee linear TV campaign planning, buying, and optimization for insurance clients, including spot selection, daypart strategies, and GRP/reach optimization.
  • Ensure campaigns meet or exceed KPI targets including ROAS, CPA, conversion rates, brand lift, and revenue goals.
  • Analyze cross-channel campaign data to extract actionable insights and optimize performance.
  • Coordinate with Gain Share media team planners and buyers, creative teams, and analytics to execute seamless campaigns.
  • Monitor performance metrics including reach, frequency, cost per point, and attribution to digital conversions.
  • Develop testing roadmaps and implement continuous improvement strategies across all channels.
  • Stay current on platform updates, industry trends, TV buying landscape, and insurance market dynamics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Gain Share category leads (media, analytics and finance) and Account Teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Analytics, Media (digital, linear and programmatic), and Finance.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members on an informal basis.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture across accounts.
  • Develop accurate budgets, forecasts, and pacing reports.
  • Manage scope, billing, and contract negotiations to ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities to improve margin while maintaining quality.

Qualifications Required
  • Minimum 4 years of account experience in performance marketing, media buying, or integrated marketing.
  • 3+ years in a client-facing leadership or account management role.
  • Proven track record managing accounts with $500K+ annual media spend across digital and traditional channels.
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing channels (paid search, paid social, programmatic) and TV buying.
  • Strong analytical proficiency in full funnel Media Measurement and Analytics – what they are, how they work and how to use them to build a story.
