Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:00pm (40hrs per week)

Work Arrangement: On Site

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.
The hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.50.Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors.

Join Our Team as aMechanical Assembler - Day Shift (Summer Student)!

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for a variety of assembly tasks using established procedures and schematics. They support production quality, drive continuous improvement efforts, and ensure a clear and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly of custom products according to established written work instructions and schematics
• Read and interpret assembly drawings
• Follow set in instructions, job orders, and record information
• Perform quality checks using tools and gauges and complete checklists
• Adhere to Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles
• Work in a safe environment by keeping self and workstation free from hazards

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

• Is currently enrolled in a secondary or post‑secondary institution (diploma or degree program)
• Ideally has basic power tool experience; however, no prior experience is required
• Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to work in a fast‑paced work environment with minimal supervision
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day‑to‑day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
