Aircraft Structural Technician

Join a dynamic team working on an aircraft conversion program with a focus on modifying the Q400 for aerial firefighting. This role involves basic structural work, such as repairing tears and cracks in the aircraft's body, corrosion repair, riveting, and component overhauls. The position requires flexibility to work in different divisions and facilities, with the majority of tasks centered around the Q400 conversion.

• Perform structural repairs and maintenance on Q400 aircraft.
• Participate in assembly line tasks, including tank assembly and airframe modifications.
• Install and provide provisions for fairings and perform miscellaneous structural modifications.
• Execute weight reduction and wing modifications in the conversion department.
• Work collaboratively with a team, reporting to team leads and managers.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency with Q400 aircraft.
• Experience in manufacturing and aircraft modification.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM drawings and Service Bulletins/EOs.
• 2-3 years' experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).
• Possession of basic tools.

• Experience with Dash 8 Q400, Turbo Props, RJ 85, and 737 aircraft.
• Helicopter maintenance experience.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess a positive attitude.

This position is located in British Columbia. Working closely with team leads and managers to ensure aircraft functionality. Employees should bring basic tooling. The work is mostly on a Monday to Friday schedule with 10-hour days, though 8-hour shifts are possible. Occasional overtime on Saturdays may be required. The environment fosters long-term engagement, with some team members having been there for up to 10 years.

The company offers competitive compensation packages, including travel reimbursements and premiums for certain endorsements.

• $75 per diem daily
• $2,000 monthly living allowance

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $53.30 - $56.38/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Toronto, ON.
