Reports To: Operations Manager
The pay range for the role is $62,600 to $104,300 plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings plan, paid vacation, and other perks and opportunities.
Position SummaryThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures the efficient and compliant handling of raw materials, packaging materials, work‑in‑progress (WIP), and finished goods. The supervisor will maintain strict adherence to health and safety policies, food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies while optimizing inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Inbound Operations- Oversee receiving of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and general supplies deliveries, ensuring proper documentation, inspection, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Verify supplier deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for raw materials and packaging to maintain quality and prevent contamination, including cycle counts of packaging and raw materials.
- Manage outbound finished goods and WIP shipments
, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch to customers or internal production areas. - Coordinate with production and logistics teams to meet delivery schedules and maintain service levels.
- Ensure all outbound loads comply with food safety and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods using ERP or WMS systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles for food safety compliance.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and training.
- Enforce adherence to food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and company policies within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper sanitation and pest control measures are in place.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff on proper handling, storage, and documentation procedures.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage labor resources to meet operational demands efficiently.
- Oversee forklift operator training and certification compliance, ensuring all operators are properly trained, licensed, and adhere to safety standards.
- Provide support and demonstrate flexibility in schedule to align with business needs to allow for interaction and communication across the continental shift teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support production and supply chain goals.
- Collaborate closely with counterparts in the production team; demonstrate willingness to learn various aspects of the business as part of learning and development towards potential future growth.
- On‑Time Receiving: 100% of raw and packaging materials received within agreed time frames
- On‑Time Shipping: ≥ 99% of finished goods and WIP dispatched as per schedule
- Compliance Audit Score: ≥ 95% adherence to HACCP, GMP, and internal standards
- Warehouse Safety Incidents: Zero recordable incidents
- Labor Productivity: Cases or pallets handled per labor hour benchmarked against targets
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP/WMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support the business across a 24/7 plant with continental shifts.
