The pay range for the role is $45,500 to $75,900 plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings plan, paid vacation, and other perks and opportunities.
PurposeThe Production Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Production team by ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and effective coordination of daily production activities. This role supports production execution, material tracking, data accuracy, and cross‑functional communication.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and ensure the accurate and timely completion of Production Batch Orders (PBOs)
- Track PBO status and follow up with production teams to support on‑time completion
- Verify and reconcile production data against system records to ensure accuracy
- Maintain and update production metrics and performance measures (PMs)
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain daily production reports
- Support quality documentation and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Create, update, and maintain production documentation, including SOPs, operating manuals, and checklists
- Perform ad hoc data entry related to production activities
- Conduct regular cycle counts of direct and indirect materials, including packaging materials, raw ingredients, consumables, and production supplies (e.g., tape, glue, chemicals), and reconcile variances with production records
- Coordinate temporary labour requests and scheduling; reconcile invoices
- Maintain training records and assist with coordinating employee training activities
- Provide administrative support for production meetings, including daily production meeting
- Update daily and weekly dashboards in Vorne (OEE and line efficiency tracking)
- Act as backup support for the Administrative Assistant as required (including greeting and receiving visitors, ensuring proper sign‑in and registration)
- Perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to copying, faxing, mailing and filing
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, with knowledge of plant processes and procedures. Previous exposure to administrative or coordination tasks is an asset but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with ERP systems is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production terminology is preferred
