Who we are looking for:
Sasco, a division of Atkore, is currently searching for a Labourer/
Stockkeeper / Order Assembler to be based out of Toronto. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years relevant General Labour, order packing and manufacturing experience. Experience in lean manufacturing is a plus. Must be authorized to work in Canada.
The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Able to assemble parts, component sections, pack orders, unpack orders, help with shipping, receiving, and stock products as needed.
- Responsible for packaging all products, components for shipment / inventory.
- Assist with loading and unloading with the Forklift and Overhead Crane.
- Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock out tag/out (LOTO), Machine guarding, / Bypassing safety controls, powered industrials Truck (PIT) safety protocols; OHSA, Safety Policies.
- Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as harassment, free workplace of Drug and alcohol, Respect and Harassment, etc.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- One to three (1 to
3) years of experience working as a General Labourer is required. - One to three (1 to
3) years of manufacturing and fabrication experience is required. - Order packing experience is preferred.
- Positive approach, self-motivated, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Eager and interest to learn continuously in manufacturing environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to work both as a member of a team, a team leader or as an individual contributor.
