This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by operating and maintaining extrusion machinery used in the manufacturing process, in addition to ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

• Safely sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery and equipment to meet customer and production goals.
• Completes extrusion machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe protocols to ensure products meet quality standards and quotas are met.
• Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work-in-progress regulations.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance to keep machinery efficient.
• Trains and guides machine assistants and new team members.
• Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized, meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness standards.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and procedures, wears appropriate PPE, and reports hazards or concerns.
• Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
• Collaborates effectively with other departments and team members to coordinate production activities and address issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in a related field
• No leadership duties required
• Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive information
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
• Proactive, sound judgment, problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated professional in a fast-paced environment

Work primarily in a manufacturing environment, using PPE such as hearing protection, safety shoes, and vision protection. May be exposed to smells, airborne dust, moving parts, high noise, and hot/humid conditions.

Must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, with accommodations as needed. Regularly uses plant machinery, may need to climb stairs, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
