Work Schedule
:
Day Shift: Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:00 pm (40hrs per week)

Work Term: Summer 2026 (4arging: May - August)

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.
The hourly pay range for this position is $22.50 - $36.20. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co‑op work terms completedадает.

Join Our Team as an Assistant QA Inspector (Co-op)!

Are you passionate about Quality Assurance? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our QA team. The Assistant Quality Inspector (Co‑op) is responsible for verifying and measuring incoming parts flagged for inspection to ensure company standards are met and specifications are matched against engineering drawings. The co‑op student will also work with team members on calibrating shop equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve finished products for shipment involving visual verification, mechanical inspection and electrical testing
• Calibrate mechanical and electrical instrument measuring equipment
• Participate, when necessary, in troubleshooting and problem‑solving
• Read and interpret part and assembly drawings
• Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel on quality inspections
• Record and maintain inspection and calibration records
• Collect and summarize quality reports monthly

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

• • Pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering or Quality Assurance
• • Available and eligible to work a 4 Month Co‑op Work Term for the Summer 2026 term
• • A team player
• • Keen interest in design and manufacturing
• • Some manufacturing experience is an asset

Physical EffILITY:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day‑to‑day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
