Job Overview:

Responsible for the generation of a production plan to maintain the necessary inventory needs. The role will also be responsible to ensure that materials are ordered and delivered on time and that all manual and computerized records are kept up to date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review labels, packaging and film requirements, determine requirements, schedule production as per supply and communicate requirements to appropriate personnel
  • Review client orders and prepare production plan (schedule) to ensure all orders are filled to meet the clients’ requirements
  • Collaborate with all operational departments including QA, Sales, Customer Service personnel as required to fulfill clients’ orders/requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Provide input to the department in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Report scheduling, managing orders for deployment and manipulate spreadsheets
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly efficiency, yield, and productivity reports
  • Run the planning worksheet on an ERP to run the planning process
  • Data Entry into system for delivery of products
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Ensure that there is ample supply to ship, organize materials, and make sure schedules are created and kept
  • Be aware of orders on hold and when they are released
  • Manage order and delivery dates
The Recipe for Success:
  • Completion of college degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Production Scheduler
  • Experience implementing and utilizing ERP software
  • Extensive knowledge of MPS/MRP, Demand Flow, JIT, Forecasting, Inventory Planning and Supply Chain Design
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, lead business discussions and train others
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience implementing and utilizing ERP software
  • Able to find new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices as needed
  • Highly focused and proactive
