Job DescriptionReporting to the VP, Executive Journey Product Owner, the Senior Manager, GI Journey Performance, Strategy and Planning plays a key role in driving journey outcomes. This role will be responsible for managing performance, developing strategy and, ensuring progress against the GI Journey's strategic priorities.
Key Accountabilities- Build, maintain, and continuously refine a fully integrated, multi-year GI Journey roadmap.
- Continuously re-examine and iterate the Journey priorities and support Product Groups to align Roadmaps on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that the Journey strategic priorities align with the overall Insurance strategy and ensure alignment, communication and integration into the broader organization.
- Monitor the value the Journey delivers to the enterprise, track success metrics and OKRs to continuously maximize value and have authority to recommend pivots to strategy as needed.
- Facilitate OKR management including annual KR development, monthly and quarterly tracking/reporting.
- Manages journey inputs into the business plan, collaborating with stakeholders (such as DAI, PMaG, Finance etc.) to ensure costs, benefits and other inputs are accurately reflected.
- Works with PGOs to assess priorities, define capacity and funding needs, build business cases and cost-benefit analysis.
- Works with partners and PGOs to align on annual journey budget, manage monthly budget costs and monitor actual vs. plan.
- Support structured governance and reporting including Q , MPR, Growth Acceleration and other touchpoints/forums as needed by preparing updates, roadmaps, risk summaries, and decision logs.
- Ensure rigorous tracking of benefits, value realization, dependencies, and milestone attainment.
- Support enterprise-wide reporting on behalf of the GI Journey.
- Actively manage relationships with corporate and control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise governance and/or regulatory requirements.
- Foster a strong risk and culture, supported by effective processes and sound infrastructure in alignment with risk appetite.
- Share knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team, ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams.
- Support an environment where the team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successes.
- Establish and foster a cohesive team; promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the GI Journey, both internally and/or externally.
- Provide advisory services to executives, business segment leaders, while governing the requirements for your own work.
- Interpret internal/external business challenges and the industry environment and recommend course of action and best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Solve or may lead others to solve complex problems; lead efforts or partner with others to develop new solutions.
- Communicate difficult concepts; convert information into compelling business context and advice to influence and gain alignment among increasingly senior stakeholders.
- Work autonomously as a lead and guide others within area of expertise.
As the Senior Manager, GI Journey Performance and Strategy, you will be responsible for supporting the Product Family and Product Group Leaders in building and executing the Journey Vision in alignment with the Journey strategic priorities. You should actively consider how to maximize value, assess how the roadmaps can be continuously improved, contribute to a positive work environment, and ensure that the work embodies the Agile principles of transparency, efficiency, collaboration, and engagement.

- Undergraduate degree
- 5-10 years relevant General Insurance experience
- Strong financial acumen
- Agile related delivery experience an asset
