The Role
We’re seeking a Team Lead, Print Production to oversee high-quality print delivery and lead CAAT’s Print Production team through operational excellence and strategic vendor partnerships.
The Team Lead will manage all aspects of print delivery, including the end‑to‑end relationship with CAAT’s third‑party print vendors and internal stakeholders. They will identify service gaps, implement improvements aligned with service level agreements, and continuously seek innovative, cost‑effective solutions that advance CAAT’s print strategy and operational goals.
This role demands a hands‑on leader who excels as the primary point of contact for vendors, evaluating delays and cost impacts, negotiating resolutions under tight deadlines, and ensuring seamless project execution.

This is a full‑time, on‑site role at our Downtown Toronto office. Candidates should be available to work from the office Monday through Friday.
- Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for third‑party print vendors, managing day‑to‑day communications, performance expectations, and issue resolution to deliver on time and within budget.
- Evaluate vendor delays and cost impacts, proactively communicating risks to stakeholders and negotiating solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Oversee end‑to‑end print production projects, coordinating between internal teams and vendors from requirements gathering through final delivery, while tracking milestones and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Lead and coach Print Specialists, managing workloads, fostering collaboration, and delivering training on technical and interpersonal skills to build a high‑performing team.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for print quality, turnaround times, and vendor performance, providing monthly reports and actionable insights to leadership.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand print needs, ensure deliverables are ready, and resolve escalated issues with subject matter expertise.
- Drive continuous improvement by establishing and reviewing workflows, recommending best practices, and piloting technologies like sustainable print solutions.
- Plan resource allocation with the Manager, Office Services, support recruitment, performance reviews, and act as backup during their absence.
- Maintain compliance with print standards, monitor operational risks, and support vendor contract management and business continuity planning.
- Community College/Business diploma in Print Production (or equivalent work experience).
- 6+ years print production experience; 3+ years vendor/project/change management with team leadership via mentoring/coaching.
- Strong vendor management as primary contact—managing tight deadlines, cost/delay impacts, managed service arrangements, and SLA‑driven improvements.
- Proven print project delivery with third‑party vendors, including compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous process enhancements.
- Analytical skills for KPI/metrics reporting, problem‑solving, time management, and mathematical aptitude.
- Proficient in MS Office (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); advanced hands‑on Xerox/Fiery/Pitney Bowes equipment, Adobe Acrobat Pro/InDesign.
- Ability to build internal stakeholder relationships and mediate/negotiate conflicts with teams/vendors.
