Role Description

The Vice President, Client Services (VP) is a leader responsible for shaping and executing key planning teams in our client Service division at Talon OOH Canada. Reporting directly to the SVP, Client Services, this role leads a group of accounts and is in charge of planning & activation within those accounts and ensures best-in-class innovative thinking, and operational alignment to client and market needs.

The Role

The VP serves as a critical cross-functional leader, driving collaboration with other VP’s and Talon Teams. They are accountable for team leadership, market competitiveness, and maintain Talon’s position as a leading force in OOH media.

This role demands expertise in Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising, the ability to leverage real-time data analytics, and a strong grasp of market trends and technological innovation. The VP will play a leading role in digital transformation efforts across the planning function.

A Day in the Life
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives that support long-term organizational growth and market leadership
  • Collaborate with other VP’s to drive the integration of digital technologies and investment strategies within OOH campaigns
  • Oversee the Client Services team specific to the accounts you will be leading, ensuring innovative, accurate, and client-aligned plans are delivered consistently
  • Collaborate with SVP, Strategy & Investment, and SVP, Analytics to leverage data analytics and market insights to inform planning and optimize media outcomes
  • Report status updates on account performance and yearly business plans to CEO, Canada
  • Monitor campaign performance and implement real-time strategic adjustments as needed
  • Promote and support the professional development and upward mobility of team members
  • Ensure Planning operations align with the broader corporate strategy and cross-functional goals
  • Partner with creative and media teams to develop cohesive, integrated campaign strategies
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and programmatic innovations to inform strategic direction
  • Guide adoption of new technologies to ensure Talon remains competitive in a dynamic market
  • Develop, mentor, and hold Client Service Directors accountable for departmental success
  • Represent Talon’s planning vision and capabilities in both internal and client-facing environments
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives aligned with Talon’s ESG and corporate values
