Position SummaryEverclean is seeking a motivated and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to oversee cleaning staff and operations at assigned locations. The successful candidate will ensure that service standards are met or exceeded, maintain health and safety compliance, and provide support to both staff and management. This role requires excellent customer service skills, leadership experience, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise janitorial staff at assigned locations, providing guidance, training, and support
- Conduct daily building inspections to ensure cleanliness and service standards are maintained
- Assign daily work tasks and monitor completion
- Assist with employee performance reviews and appraisals
- Ensure staff compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning supplies and SDS sheets
- Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, complaints, and service updates
- Attend weekly operations meetings and report on site performance
- Support management in hiring, onboarding, and scheduling staff
- Maintain operational continuity by performing hands‑on tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead‑hand experience, preferably in commercial cleaning
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and SDS sheets
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; car allowance provided
- Ability to travel to multiple locations across the GTA, surrounding areas, and Ottawa
- Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills
- Hands‑on experience with cleaning equipment, supplies, and operational processes
