As Assistant Manager, Distribution Inventory Operations, youll be a handson operational leader overseeing daytoday inventory management across our Canadian distribution network. The work you do will impact beauty, as you help maintain inventory integrity and support endtoend inventory management in partnership with our FSC team and 3PL Canada Distribution Centres. Youll be part of a collaborative distribution leadership team united in beauty, supported by partners who are just as passionate about operational excellence, risk mitigation, and keeping our inventory moving seamlessly.
What Youll Do:
Oversee inventory integrity for up to $200M in inventory at cost, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiencyPartner crossfunctionally to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, supporting an exceptional client experienceOwn weekly inventory reconciliations, driving timely followthrough and minimizing financial impact to the businessLead inventory accuracy initiatives through rootcause analysis and continuous improvement, translating insights into actionSupport the Manager, Distribution Inventory Operations during annual physical inventory planning and executionLead 3PL Distribution Centre teams through monthly reverse logistics cycles, ensuring SLA adherence and ontime completionManage inventory imbalances in line with team KPIs, delegating actions and holding crossfunctional partners accountableIndependently solve complex inventory issues with minimal direction, mitigating risk and business impactDrive timely stakeholder action to reduce financial exposure and ensure accurate, ontime completion of deliverablesDocument and communicate inventory findings and insights to leadership on a weekly and monthly cadenceOwn the execution of special projects and valueadded services (VAS) across the distribution network, ensuring work is planned, prioritized, and completed within operational capacityMonitor DC performance and project execution to achieve business objectives without disrupting core operationsCommunicate project status clearly, tracking progress against milestones and escalating risks as neededAnalyze inventory KPIs and performance metrics to inform datadriven decisionmakingServe as a key liaison between operations and crossfunctional teams, translating inventory data into actionable insightsProactively identify risks, escalate issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory operationsWhat Youll Bring:
35 years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, or a related fieldBachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experienceStrong technical aptitude, with comfort partnering directly with IT and advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelA problemsolving mindset, leveraging analytical skills to navigate complexity and ambiguity with minimal directionProven ability to organize workloads, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlinesA collaborative approach, with the ability to partner crossfunctionally and understand diverse business needsClear and confident communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilitiesExceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precisionKnowledge of Store Operations and MCS is considered a strong assetAn adaptable, growthoriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment#FSCHIRING
