Role Overview

The Vice President, Integrated, operates as an integral part of the Senior Leadership team at Talk Shop. This is a strategic leader responsible for guiding high-value accounts, business growth, and championing Talk Shop’s national reputation. This role bridges creative strategy, client leadership, and business development - serving as a trusted advisor to clients and mentor to internal teams. You’ll lead integrated communications programs spanning PR, marketing, events, and digital, ensuring the highest level of service, profitability, and impact.

  • 70% Billable - Consult and/or Lead on Tier A/B accounts
  • 15% Business Development (Initial calls, RFP bids, networking)
  • 10% Agency Building and Profiling
  • 5% Internal Operations
  • Join various Leadership meetings and Management meetings, Ad Hoc Management Support (town halls, organic growth meetings, operations meetings)
  • Additional Hours are focused on cross-disciplinary leadership, integrated planning, innovation in service, and talent development
Job Description
  • Acts as a center of excellence on creative-driven marketing campaigns and integrated initiatives.
  • Exceptional at identifying opportunities and insights others may miss, with a strong grasp of client priorities and the confidence to explore new creative territory.
  • This role is a strategic lead on select high-profile brands, guiding the overall integrated communications direction, ensuring alignment with client objectives, and modelling strategic thinking and best practices for the team
  • Ability to lead and develop high-impact brand strategies and creative campaigns.
  • Serves as a trusted strategic advisor to clients and executives
  • Drives business growth through new client acquisition and organic expansion
  • Elevates the agency’s presence and reputation, based in Toronto, including organic expansion and aiding in business development initiatives
  • Ability to balance creative vision with business acumen, demonstrating both creative thinking and aptitude to consider budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
Experience
  • 12-15+ years of experience in communications and marketing, including significant agency experience leading and ideating integrated campaigns across PR, digital, events, and marketing disciplines
  • Demonstrated success in strategically leading clients in sectors such as B2B, Tech, Financial Services and Professional Services, delivering measurable impact and long-term growth
  • Excellent communication skills, charismatic, compelling, credible, and authentic with both internal and external audiences
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities, able to influence, motivate, and inspire at every level
  • Highly organized and adept at managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment, balancing big-picture strategy with hands-on execution
  • Proven success leading teams and developing talent, fostering collaboration, creativity, and accountability
  • Skilled presenter and storyteller, with a track record of developing strategic plans, building compelling decks, and commanding a strong presence in client and new business settings: both in-person and virtual
  • Prior experience leading large-scale national campaigns, with a strong integrated communications background spanning PR, digital, creative, and influencer marketing
  • Demonstrated business acume with a history of sound budget stewardship, efficient resource management, and profitability oversight
  • Experience working with Canadian brands, with additional exposure to international markets (ex. U.S, Europe, UK) strongly desired
  • Data-driven mindset — measures success through meaningful metrics and insights. Able to translate results into actionable learnings and showcase the impact of communications efforts through data storytelling, campaign analysis, and performance reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
