We are looking for a confident, people first leader to manage our Commercial Lines Support Unit (CLSU). This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across renewals, documentation, certificates, liability slips, and policy changes. The successful candidate will coach and develop a high-performing team, strengthen workflows, and confidently manage escalations while ensuring a consistent and professional client experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and inspire the Commercial Lines Support Unit
- Support the growth and development of team members through training, mentorship, and ongoing feedback
- Conduct performance reviews and create development plans that promote continuous improvement
- Ensure team performance aligns with established service standards and turnaround times
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of renewals, policy documentation, certificates, liability slips, and endorsements
- Act as the escalation point for complex files and problem resolution
- Deliver responsive, professional service to internal partners and external clients
- Identify opportunities to improve procedures, workflows, and efficiencies
- Contribute to projects and additional operational duties as required
- Step in to support processing, invoicing, and data entry during peak periods or team absences
- Active RIBO license in good standing
- Proven experience managing a team in a commercial lines insurance environment
- In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurance processes, workflows, and policies
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop training materials and facilitate engaging training sessions
- Proficient in insurance software and related tools, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly when handling escalated or complex files
Compensation Range: $80,000 to $120,000 annually
Compensation is based on a full-time 35-hour work week and will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. It includes variable commissions and potential performance-based bonus.
