SALARY RANGE

Canada: CAD $72,000 – $80,000
California (U.S.): USD $72,000 – $80,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and role requirements, and will comply with applicable local pay transparency laws.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, accuracy, and alignment across the organization. This position oversees critical workflows that support sales partners, merchants, and internal teams, ensuring seamless coordination between departments such as Sales, Operations, Underwriting, and Customer Support.

  • Manage and optimize application processing and approval timelines
  • Oversee daily operational workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Underwriting, Customer Support, and other internal teams to ensure seamless communication
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance speed and quality
  • Resolve escalations promptly and provide guidance to internal teams and external partners
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and reduce risk
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational enhancements to improve scalability
  • Train and mentor team members to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices
  • Prepare and deliver operational reports to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Ensure timely follow-through on all tasks to deliver an exceptional experience for internal stakeholders and external clients
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree: with a concentration in a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role
  • 3+ years of Card Present payment processing experience
  • Hands-on experience and working knowledge of credit card terminals and point-of-sale (POS) devices, including setup, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operation
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and improving operational processes
  • Strong understanding of compliance standards and risk management
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements
  • Skilled in resolving escalations and managing complex operational challenges
  • Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments and driving change initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with data analysis tools
  • CRM expertise, with experience navigating and utilizing customer relationship management platforms effectively
