About the Position
Located on Christopher Lake, Sask., Camp Kadesh is a nondenominational, independent, year round camp established in 1982 under the legal name Mid Prairie Scripture Mission Inc.
Camp Kadesh exists to help people experience the love of Jesus. We seek to cultivate transformational relationships, develop Kingdom leaders, and strengthen commitment to the local church.
Position Overview
Camp Kadesh invites applications for the position of Executive Director, starting January 1, 2026 (or sooner). This is a permanent, full-time role overseeing all aspects of our summer camp, outdoor education programs, church retreats, and year-round site operations.
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and collaborates with a dedicated team of full-time staff to maintain excellence in programming, operations, finance, and public relations while upholding Camp Kadesh’s mission and core values.
Primary Ministries and Programs
Summer children and youth camps
Outdoor recreation school programs in spring, fall, and winter
Camp Kadesh–sponsored retreats and facility rentals for church groups
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Exhibit a genuine passion for Christian camp ministry and be a joyful follower of Jesus
Understand how to advance the mission of a well-established camp ministry
Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
Bring experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and team development
Have 5 years of experience as an Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management
Recruit, train, mentor, and build up summer staff, year-round employees, and volunteers
Promotion and Marketing
Oversee and delegate effective, high-quality promotion of all Camp Kadesh programs
Maintain and grow relationships with our member churches
Strategic and Financial Leadership
Set and achieve strategic goals in a fiscally responsible manner, managing a significant operating budget
Fundraising and Public Relations
Expand funding sources and enhance public awareness through donor relations, grant writing, and community outreach
