We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a Senior Manager, Learning and Development. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture Transformation, the Senior Manager, Learning & Development (L&D) will be the architect of March of Dimes Canada’s learning future. This pivotal role is not only about managing training, it’s about building a learning organization that fuels innovation, inclusion, and growth.
As a senior leader within the People & Culture Transformation team, the Senior Manager will champion a learning culture that empowers employees and volunteers to achieve their career aspirations, strengthens MODC’s talent pipeline, and equips our workforce to deliver on our bold strategic ambitions in accessibility, disability inclusion, and organizational growth.
ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Manager, L&D is accountable to:
- Position MODC as a true learning organization by embedding continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, and growth mindsets into the daily fabric of our culture.
- Drive future‑ready capabilities by aligning learning strategies to enterprise transformation initiatives, including the rollout of our Human Capital Management System (Dayforce), culture and values activation, brand revitalization, and the evolution of our Lines of Business.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Chief People Officer and senior leaders, ensuring L&D is not reactive, but proactive in anticipating workforce needs and building resilience for tomorrow.
- Champion accessibility and inclusion by ensuring that all learning programs are designed through a disability‑inclusive, human‑centred lens, reinforcing MODC’s leadership in accessibility and equity.
- Strategic Partnership & Advisory:
Partner with the Director, People & Culture Transformation and Chief People Officer to shape and deliver short‑ and long‑term L&D strategies for employees, executives, and volunteers. - Enterprise Learning Strategy:
Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive L&D strategy that advances organizational transformation, strengthens leadership at all levels, and future‑proofs MODC’s workforce. - Learning Systems Leadership:
Lead the strategic configuration and enterprise‑wide adoption of Dayforce Learning, ensuring a modern, digital‑first learner experience. - Talent Development & Succession:
Partner with the Chief People Officer to design pathways for career mobility, succession planning, and leadership development, building diverse bench strength aligned with our talent agenda. - Change & Transformation Enablement:
Act as a core partner to enterprise projects, embedding learning into change management strategies to accelerate adoption and sustain impact. - Culture & Engagement:
Own the implementation of initiatives that reinforce MODC’s Values and culture, building a performance‑driven, inclusive, and collaborative culture. - Measurement & Impact:
Establish robust evaluation frameworks, metrics, and dashboards (Balanced Scorecard, learning analytics) to demonstrate the ROI of L&D investments and inform continuous improvement. - Partnerships & Ecosystem:
Cultivate external alliances with vendors, universities, and industry partners to bring innovative, high‑quality learning solutions to MODC.
