The incumbent will be responsible for providing critical thinking and effective Technical Services, Support, and maintaining uptime for all critical systems supporting the TRDC Data Centre at Royal Bank Plaza.

• Operate the Control Centre, UPS, BAS, Plant Mechanical, Water Treatment, Fire Alarm, Electrical, and EPGS Systems for the TRDC Critical Systems.
• Monitor daily, conduct inspections/rounds, record data, and maintain all critical systems.
• Understand all SOPs and EOPs pertaining to the critical systems of the TRDC.
• Escalate critical events to the Technical Operations Manager and apply SOPs/EOPs in emergency and disaster recovery situations.
• Perform procedures to rectify anomalies in day‑to‑day operations, including temperature/setpoint adjustments, mode switching for cooling, and EPGS monthly testing.
• Provide customer service to Capital Markets Trading Floor staff and work with Base Building staff. Open and close tenant work orders in Yardi.
• Monitor the Building Automation System (Ainsworth/Schneider) to ensure optimal operating parameters and energy efficiency.
• Execute electrical breaker switching procedures safely using proper PPE.
• Work a rotating 42‑hour shift (continental) including daytime (D12), nighttime (N12), and weekend shifts (D12/N12) and support colleagues with shift coverage.
• Work independently or with others to perform duties, read blueprints, and interpret single line diagrams for the TRDC.
• Communicate clearly via email and present documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Remain alert during all shifts and respond immediately as required.
• Be a self‑starter, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure to maintain 100% uptime.
• Exhibit good interpersonal skills with colleagues, contractors, and all staff at Royal Bank Plaza.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an electrician or HVAC technician.
• 5 years of experience in a data centre environment.
• Consideration may be given to equivalent AAA office experience with decision‑making aptitude.
• BES 1&2 or 4th Class Power Engineer certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, identify opportunities, and implement action plans.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and respond to time‑sensitive tasks.
