Mercor is seeking bilingual English–Chinese language professionals to support a translation quality review initiative with a leading AI research partner. Experts will evaluate AI-generated Chinese content, ensuring it reflects fluent, accurate, and culturally relevant language as commonly used in mainland China. This short‑term, flexible project offers a chance to shape the linguistic quality of advanced AI systems.

• Review and evaluate Chinese translations for fluency, clarity, and accuracy
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, or tone inconsistencies
• Suggest improvements to ensure natural, idiomatic usage in mainland China
• Provide structured feedback on linguistic quality and cultural appropriateness
• Maintain high reading speed and attention to detail across varied content types

• Native or near-native fluency in both Chinese (Simplified) and English
• Deep familiarity with contemporary language usage in China
• 1+ year of experience in translation, localization, or language QA
• Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills
• Strong attention to linguistic detail and cultural nuance

• Remote and asynchronous — flexible scheduling
• Expected commitment: 10+ hours/week
• Project duration: 1+ months, with potential for additional work

• $30–35/hour depending on experience and location
• Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
